Alanna Lovely is a proud born and raised Chicagoan. She received her start in the arts at the Homer Bryant School of dance in Chicago. She continued her artistic education by learning the flute and upright bass and competing throughout high school. While in college she further stretched her knowledge by completing a comedy studies program and performing at The School at Second City.
Alanna is most notably known for her role as Lana Dubois on Empire (Fox). Her Chicago credits include Nina Simone: Four Women (Northlight Theatre), Merrily We Roll Along (Porchlight Theatre), Ragtime (Jeff Award-winning production at Griffin Theatre), Bare: A Pop Opera (Refuge Theater), and A Christmas Story: The Musical (Paramount Theater). Regional Credits: Mother Divine and The Music Man (Western Playhouse). Other Credits: Comedy Studies Showcase (Second City).
