Alyssa Gabrielle Rodriguez
Alyssa Gabrielle Rodriguez is a first-generation Mexican-American actress from Houston Texas. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston, majoring in Broadcast Journalism and Marketing. At U of H, she was a show host for the campus talk show, “Intuition” and interned at KTRK, the ABC News affiliate. There she was selected from a very competitive group to be the coveted intern newscast news anchor. Before graduation, she did a short film, realized she was going to be a different kind of story teller and finally pursued her dream of acting. Right out of college, she got an agent and booked her first film audition. After doing several short films in the local Texas market, she moved to to L.A. where she’s experienced success in television, film, commercials, voiceover and theatre. Some of her favorite projects include, being directed by Kevin McKidd on Grey’s Anatomy, working opposite Perrey Reeves on Famous In Love, voicing the English dub of the sarcastic and sometimes possessed Nancy on Netflix Mexico’s campy-hit “Diablero,” and playing three characters in the dark comedy play Mr. Marmalade with an incredible ensemble at Stuart Rogers Studios where she received great reviews. In addition to acting, Alyssa is an accomplished makeup artist which helps her find her characters’ looks and has a small beauty blog where shares her favorite beauty products to be camera ready. She is also writing a few projects that are personal to her.
