Andi Muriel is an actress, artist, and educator based in Chicago.
Born in Marikina City, Philippines, but raised in Aurora, IL, she grew up surrounded by art. After years and years of piano lessons, singing in the choir, and going to see pretty much every production at the Paramount Theatre with her mom, she developed a hot and steamy love affair with performance.
Andi is a recent graduate from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she earned her BFA in Acting at their School of Theatre and Music. During her time at UIC she performed in a female-driven version of David Mamet’s Glengarry Glen Ross (dir. Derrick Sanders); as Irina, her Chekhovian dream role, in Three Sisters (dir. Yasen Peyankov); and in a rap opera adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar story, titled Rome Sweet Rome, written and directed by the Q Brothers Collective.
Andi’s favorite movie is Finding Nemo, favorite time of year is spring, and if she had to choose only one kind of food to eat for the rest of her life it would probably be sandwiches (purely because they’re so versatile). You can keep up with her nonsense at andimuriel.weebly.com
