Bill Bannon

Bill has been working in the Chicago theatre world since earning a BFA from the DePaul/Theatre School in 1986, appearing on many of the city’s non-Equity stages, earning Non-Equity Jeff nominations and wins for his work at TimeLine (best ensemble/best production This Happy Breed), Eclipse (best supporting actor Lost In Yonkers), and Strawdog theatres (After Dark Award, best ensemble Three Sisters). Since becoming a union actor in 2006 he has enjoyed appearing on the stages of the Goodman, Chicago Shakespeare, Writers, Shattered Globe, Victory Gardens, Next, Royal George and other local professional theatres. Regionally he has appeared on the Peninsula Players stage in Door County, Wisconsin, where he received accolades for his performances in two box office record-breaking productions. In recent years he has branched out into the musical scene by performing at the Drury Lane and Marriott Linconshire theatres (Hazel and Newsies, respectively). In addition to several commercial and voiceover bookings, he has also been seen on NBC’s Chicago Fire and Chicago Justice, as well as the cancelled FOX show APB, and the locally filmed movies Hunter, Sweet Sixteen, and Black Box.
