New Jersey native Candace Thomas began performing in musicals as a teenager when cast as Timoune in her high school’s production of Once On This Island. She went on to graduate with a BA in Communication Studies and Theatre from Ursinus College. After graduation, Candace took on the Philadelphia theatre scene. Some of her favorite Philadelphia credits include Spring Awakening (Theatre Horizon), Passing Strange (11th Hour Theatre Company), and Little Shop of Horrors (Bristol Riverside Theater), from which she received a 2014 Barrymore Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical. Candace is a graduate of the Professional Actor Training Program at the University of South Carolina, where she received her MFA in Acting (2017). Theatre South Carolina credits include Our Town (Mrs. Gibbs), The Threepenny Opera (Polly Peachum), and The Tempest (Miranda). Candace also recently completed the prestigious Emerging Professional Residency program at Milwaukee Repertory Theater.
