Cole Doman was born in Philadelphia, PA.
In 2011, Cole moved to Chicago where he received his BFA from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. He was then accepted into the prestigious School at Steppenwolf where he studied under Amy Morton, Tarell Alvin McCraney, Michael Patrick Thornton, and more.
During his time in Chicago, he worked with Drury Lane Oakbrook, Chicago Shakespeare, Chicago Dramatists, and was selected as one of the "Hot New Faces of Chicago Theater" by Chris Jones from the Chicago Tribune.
He made his film debut as the titular role in the critically acclaimed Henry Gamble's Birthday Party directed by Stephen Cone, currently streaming on Hulu and Amazon Prime. He has profiles with IndieWire, OUT, Milk.xyz, and was featured as one of "Best Breakout Performances of 2016" by The Film Stage.
Since graduating, he has worked on hit shows such as MODERN FAMILY, AMERICAN GODS, SHAMELESS, GLOW, and SHARP OBJECTS, followed by a year touring the nation as Boq in the musical WICKED, directed by Joe Mantello.
Up next, he can be seen in the feature film Uncle Frank from writer/director Alan Ball, which premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2020, and has been acquired by Amazon Studios.
He now resides in Brooklyn, NY.
