Colin Sphar

Colin Sphar is a US actor originally from Sacramento, CA. He grew up singing, dancing, and acting professionally before going to Chicago to study acting at The Theatre School at DePaul University. He studied internationally at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford, England and the Roy Hart Centre at Malérargues, France.

His work on stage includes THE WICKHAMS (Capital Stage), THE LEGEND OF GEORGIA MCBRIDE (Nebraska Rep), WE ARE PROUD TO PRESENT A PRESENTATION... (Theater Emory), AFTER ALL THE TERRIBLE THINGS I DO (About Face), POSH (Steep Theatre, Joseph Jefferson Award—Best Ensemble), world premiere of LUNA GALE (Goodman Theatre) and its Los Angeles transfer (Center Theatre Group, Ovation Award—Best Touring Production), national tour of LETTERS HOME (Griffin Theatre), ROMEO AND JULIET (Southwest Shakespeare Company), and work with Victory Gardens, Primary Stages, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, TimeLine, Teatro Vista, Chicago Dramatists, and Sacramento Theatre Company. On film and TV in LIMINAL VORTICES, BE HERE WITH ME, CON VEX.

Colin created and co-hosts with Michael Turrentine a variety show at The Boxcar called The You're So Special, a community based night of artistic expression. He also plays with The Back Room Shakespeare Project.
