Darilyn was singing before she could talk. She started off her professional career in a traveling gospel girl group at the age of seven. Her studies at Columbia College Chicago (majoring in Musical Theatre) was put on hold after her first semester when she booked her first principle role in an equity production of Dreamgirls. From that moment, Darilyn realized her dream of working as a professional was attainable. She took a few years away from theatre to focus on building her film and commercial resume. With several ad campaigns, a guest starring role on a network television show, and completing several on-camera acting classes, Darilyn decided to turn her attention back to her first love: theatre. She re-entered the world of live performance with a role in the U.S. debut of Jesus Christ Superstar and her performance in The Last Session earned her a Jeff Award nomination. Darilyn is thrilled to now be represented by Gray and is ready to work.
