Debo Balogun is Chicago-born and was raised an actor and a poet. He holds a BA degree in Theatre Arts and Psychology from Augustana College. He has trained at London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and although he has a strong affinity for the poetry of classical texts, he thoroughly enjoys branching out into contemporary works. He has worked with many Chicago theatres including Oak Park Festival Theatre, Nothing Without a Company, First Folio Theatre, Definition Theatre Company, Steep Theatre Company, Lookingglass Theatre, and has appeared in a handful of short films.
When not acting, Debo can still be found expressing himself creatively through teaching himself new instruments or spoken word poetry.
He is a proud Artistic Associate of Oak Park Festival Theatre.
