Now 15, Doran has lent her acting skills and cheerful, unflappable personality to numerous lead and ensemble roles since age 6 in performances at The Music Institute of Chicago (MIC), The Actor’s Training Center (ATC), in Wilmette, Ill., and Northwestern University, among other venues. Her work includes numerous singing and dancing roles, including a recent ensemble performance in Rent at the ATC. During these years, Doran has trained at the MIC, Piven Theater Workshop in Evanston, Ill., and most recently with the ATC. She is a quick study with a notably mature work ethic who always comes prepared. She has the unique ability to work well with every member of a group.
Along with her devotion to acting, Doran is a musical performer, with years of instruction in voice, piano, French horn and guitar under her belt. She has had four years of vocal training with Cole Seaton, tenor with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra choir. This year, she has opened gigs for her guitar instructor, performer Jeanie B., playing guitar and singing at Uncommon Ground in Chicago, and at Billy Corgan’s Madame Zuzu’s in Highland Park, Ill. She is a choir section leader and heavily involved in her theater department as a freshman at Evanston Township High School.
Doran continues to study acting with the professionals at ATC. She is very excited to be working and following her dreams with Gray Talent, and envisions many years of performing in her future.
