Eunice Woods, a proud company member of Barrel of Monkeys, is originally from Jacksonville, Florida. After earning her BFA in Theatre Arts from Boston University, where she also minored in Spanish and Dance, Eunice moved to Spain. There she taught English in public schools and further developed her Spanish language skills. After spending two years abroad, Eunice came to Chicago to focus on acting.
Her strong background in movement and singing has allowed her to collaborate on a range of exciting and unique projects. Her Chicago acting credits include Little Shop of Horrors (American Blues Theater), The Project(s) (American Theater Company), Sparky! (Lifeline Theater), The Revel (The House Theatre of Chicago), Dessa Rose (Bailiwick Chicago), Hey! Dancin'! Hey! Musical! (The Factory Theater), The One-Minute Play Festival (#1MPF & Victory Gardens Theate), The True History...of Julia Pastrana (Tympanic Theatre Company), Raskol (Vintage Theater Collective), and The Rose Parade (Body Project Ensemble & VOTC). She has also toured with Canamac Productions’ play, Defamation.
Eunice is an avid reader and has a passion for travel. She enjoys visiting new places and learning about different cultures!
