Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Faith Servant is a recent Chicago resident. While completing her BA in Drama and History from Kenyon College, she spent a breathtaking semester at the Eugene O’Neill National Theater Institute training, as well as watching incredible theater, around London and the northeastern portion of the United States. She then went on to receive her MFA in Classical Acting from Illinois State University where she obtained SAFD certifications in Hand-to- Hand and Single Sword combat. Fresh out of school, she was blessed enough to spend a year touring, performing, and teaching in schools around the country with Shakespeare Festival St. Louis and Montana Shakespeare in the Schools playing a wide range of Shakespeare’s greatest characters, including Ophelia, Horatio, and Hermia. While she has a strong background in Shakespeare for the stage, Faith is excited to begin working more in Film and Television!
Faith was just seen as Mrs. Starkey, Curtis, Tailor, Officer, and smooth, enthusiastic Wedding Guest in The Taming of the Shrew at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. She is so stoked to begin playing Hermia for a second time in A Midsummer Night’s Dream also at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater.
When Faith is not on stage, she is geeking out over Shakespeare’s texts, traveling to spend time with family, and sometimes even teaching gymnastics to toddlers on a renovated school bus. Faith is so blessed to be with Gray Talent, and cannot wait to begin this new journey in Chicago!
