Garrett was raised with his brothers and sister in the evergreen woods of Washington State. It was there that he nurtured his passion for animals, Sign Language, the rain, and acting. After high school he packed up his 94’ Camry with some snacks and moved to Los Angeles!
After studying with some incredible teachers in LA, he desired a more rigorous conservatory education. He moved to Chicago to attend The Theatre School at DePaul University where he graduated with a BFA in Acting. Garrett was also blessed to spend the summer of 2017 in Oxford, England studying with the British American Drama Academy in association with the Yale School of Drama.
Recent TV/theatre credits include: Chicago Med, Chicago Justice, “PYG” (Jackalope Theatre), a workshop of Tarell Alvin McCraney's "Ms. Blakk For President" (Steppenwolf Theatre), “Eroica” (Redtwist Theatre), “Three Sisters,” and the U.S. premiere of Robert Icke’s “Oresteia” (Theatre School at DePaul). He has appeared in numerous national commercials for companies such as: Tyson, Ford, Toyota, and X-Box. He almost made his Oregon Shakespeare Festival debut as Lorenzo in their 2020 production of “Everything That Never Happened.” Which, in fact, never happened.
