Isabel Kaegi is so excited to join Gray Talent Group. The arts have been in Isabel’s life for as long as she can remember. She started acting at the age of 6 with a local theatre group. She has taken voice lessons since the age of 8 and currently trains with Mary LeGere. Isabel is full of energy, focused, friendly, professional, and always makes sure she is on the top of her game. In order to further her abilities, she began to train more seriously and eventually joined The Performer’s School Ensemble for its 2015-2016 season, where she was in Legally Blonde Jr. and Shrek the Musical (TYA). In the summer of 2016, under the direction of Stacey Flaster, George Keating, and Liz Fauntleroy, she performed in Into the Woods Jr. as Cinderella. That fall, she was cast in Ravinia’s Winnie the Pooh as a Narrator, and Highland Park Players’ production of Billy Elliot as Debbie Wilkinson.
In the spring of 2017, Isabel was cast in the ensemble of Writers Theatre’s lab workshop and presentation of TREVOR: the Musical (with production by U Rock Theatricals, NYC). Upon its completion, Isabel was cast again for the show’s world premiere production debuting at Writers Theatre on August 9, 2017. Based on the story that inspired the Academy Award-winning film, the charity and the national movement, TREVOR: the Musical is a coming-of-age story about identity, emerging sexuality and the struggles of growing up in a world that may not be ready for you. This world premiere musical is directed by Marc Bruni, who helmed the Tony Award-winning production of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical on Broadway.
Isabel is an honors student with a 4.0 GPA, and loves math and science. She is also a member of the International Thespian Society. In her free time, Isabel enjoys being with her friends, going to musicals, assisting at her dance studio, running, taking piano lessons, reading, traveling, and tap dancing.
