Jeannie Affelder

Jeannie Affelder has been acting since she was a little girl, and she grew up spending many happy Saturday mornings at the Cleveland Play House. Theatre has been a constant in her life amidst wonderful detours: researching and writing about international relations; producing, directing, and broadcasting on public radio; and parenting three kids with her loving husband, Jeff.

Jeannie has been lucky enough to perform with great theatres (Writer’s Theatre, Court Theatre,  TimeLine Theatre Company AND OTHERS) and great directors (Bill Rauch, Peter Sellars, Joann Green Breuer, Nick Bowling, William Brown AND OTHERS) and to have originated two roles in premiere productions: Lucy in Lynda Barry’s The Good Times Are Killing Me, and Simca in Bill Brown and Doug Frew’s To Master The Art.

When not on stage, she enjoys practicing yoga, biking, cooking, and digging in the garden.
