Kent M. Lewis
Kent M. Lewis, a native Illinoisan, has performed at Chicagoland's Goodman, Drury Lane, Marriott Lincolnshire, Mercury, Apollo, the old Candlelight, and more. A self taught musician, Kent has made use of his ability to play multiple instruments in "Buddy, the Buddy Holly Story" (drums, electric guitar)," Hank WIlliams-Lost Highway" (upright bass), "Ring of Fire"* (acoustic guitar), and as musical director for Second City's touring company (piano and electric guitar). Kent's love of dialects has served well the first national tours of "Billy Elliot" (Geordie, and RP), "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" (Cockney and RP), and the Las Vegas production of "Mamma Mia" (Australian) as well as numerous shows featuring American accents from New York to Arkansas. Whether exhibiting the joy of tap dancing (Don Lockwood, Billy Lawlor, Joey from Pal Joey) or in his capacity as a veteran leading man (Sky Masterson, Gaylord Ravenal, Curly, Captain Von Trapp) or in a comedic role (Will Parker, Benjamin Pontipee, J.I. Alison, Vittorio Vidal) Kent brings truth and versatility to every performance.
Kent has worked with many great directors of the stage including Stephen Daldry, Marcia Milgrom Dodge, Mary Zimmerman, and Hunter Foster. He has also worked with Broadway Choreographers JoAnne Hunter, Peter Darling, and Lorin Latarro.
Kent's big and small screen appearances include "Law and Order", "Gossip Girl", and the films "Ali" with Will Smith, and "Ocean's Eleven" with George Clooney and Matt Damon et al.
