Laura recently returned to Chicago after appearing as Dyanne in the 2015 Broadway National Tour of Million Dollar Quartet! Prior to joining the tour, Laura had the privilege of performing with Chicago company of Million Dollar Quartet which has been running at the Apollo theatre since 2008!
Originally from a small town in northern Ohio, her love for the performing arts began with a ballet obsession as a young girl which quickly grew to include singing and theatre. After exposure to classical vocal training at the National High School Music Institute (NHSMI) at Northwestern University, Laura chose that as her field of study, graduating with a Bachelor of Music from the University of Illinois. However her continued love for dance, plays, movies and music theatre inspired her to keep growing and performing across a wide variety of styles and genres.
In addition to the experience she’s gained from over 30 productions, including a couple rigorous seasons of summer stock, she has studied Method at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute (NYC), Meisner with Kathryn Gately and Rick Poole of the Gately-Poole Conservatory, and continues to grow her acting, singing, audition and on-camera craft through schools including Vagabond School of the Arts, Acting Studio of Chicago, and private coaching.
Laura prides herself on working hard, playing well with others, and being incredibly coach-able - she can take a note. When not working on a project, she loves hanging out in this beautiful city with her favorite partner-in-crime, Zorro the chihuahua.
Laura is honored and thrilled to be a part of the brilliant, thriving Chicago Arts scene, the Gray Talent family, and is ecstatic for the adventures ahead of her.
