Lauren Hugh is mixed Chinese-American actor, singer and writer originally from Chanhassen, Minnesota (home of Prince). She played Elizabeth, Off-Broadway in the musical Frankenstein, and has performed as a soloist at Broadway in Bryant Park in New York City. Lauren received her Theatre BFA with an emphasis in Musical Theatre at University of Minnesota Duluth, and has been seen on some of the most prestigious stages in the Twin Cities area. Her credits include: A Christmas Carol (Guthrie), Mamma Mia! (Ordway), The Music Man (Chanhassen Dinner Theatres) and many more. She also was one of 10 actors to be selected from submissions around the country for the Acting Apprenticeship at The Actors Theatre of Louisville. During her year with ATL, Lauren took part in the Humana Festival and premiered her solo film project BEING A BANANA. Other favorites credits include: Romeo & Juliet (Benvolia), Legally Blonde: The Musical (Pilar), Spring Awakening (Thea). When Lauren is not working, she enjoys spending her time with family and friends, sharing recipes with people on her blog and having bake sales to raise money for causes near and dear to her heart.
