Maddie DePorter

Maddie hails from the small farm town of Orion, IL, although she considers Chicago her home. Professionally she has worked at Chicago Shakespeare Theater in Gypsy under the direction of Gary Griffin. She has understudied and performed for Victory Gardens Theater’s production of Sucker Punch, directed by Dexter Bullard and The Other Theater Company’s inaugural production of Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992, directed by Jason Gerace. Some of her favorite roles at NCC include Petruchio in a gender-bent production of The Taming of the Shrew, Clytemnestra in Iphigenia and Other Daughters, and Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She feels honored to have worked with guest directors such as Ted Hoerl, Matt Hawkins, and Kathryn Walsh.

In her free time, she enjoys playing sand volleyball (when the Chicago weather permits), rooting for the Cubbies, and feeding her Netflix addiction.
