Marilyn Bass

Marilyn is a Chicago-born actress. Her passion for acting started at the age of 9 when she did her first school play. Throughout the years her passion and drive have grown exponentially. She has studied improvisation, acting for the stage and screen acting at schools across the Chicagoland area. She was a member of the resident companies at Piven Theatre Workshop and the Actors Training Center. Her professional theatre credits include roles at Brikenbrak Theatre Project, Fury Theatre Company, Profiles Theatre and Steppenwolf Theater Company. Hedy Weiss, theatre critic for the Chicago Sun-Times, called Marilyn “a hugely impressive young actor” for her performance in “The Dream of the Burning Boy” at Profiles Theatre. Marilyn has appeared in many commercials, both nationally and regionally. In the summer of 2015, Marilyn shot two feature films, “Bernadette” and “Smothered by Mothers”. Most recently, you can see Marilyn guest starring on Chicago PD (Season 4, Episode 1) as Ally Berner. This business has become a second home for Marilyn. She loves the people and most importantly, the work. She is excited to see what the future has in store for her!
