Marisa Buchheit

A Chicago native, Marisa has been hailed by the Chicago Tribune as a “Remarkable Woman” and is a recipient of the Humanitarian Excellence Award from Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White. She is a classical soprano, arts advocate, model and singing actress with a passion for performance and elevating the arts.

Marisa has performed on stages around the world in opera and musical theatre. She recently earned her Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from DePaul University. Her recent performances include the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute (Southern Illinois Music Festival), A Page/Gilda cover in Rigoletto (Wichita Grand Opera), ZoZo in The Merry Widow (DePaul Opera Theatre), and Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro (Tuscia Opera Festival). She has also appeared as featured soloist with the Elgin and Peoria Symphony Orchestras.

Marisa represented Illinois at the 2015 Miss America competition (nationally broadcast) and in the “Countdown to the Crown” featured program on ABC. She has been interviewed on FOX, NBC, ABC, and WCIU news stations in Chicago. In demand as a national anthem performer, she has performed for the Chicago Bulls, Chicago Cubs, the City Club of Chicago, the Chicago Air & Water Show, and at Millennium Park’s Pritzker Pavilion. In addition to classical music, Marisa sings Musical Theatre and folk music. As a guitarist and singer-songwriter, she released a demo album of original songs called “Mari Therese: All Yours”.

She is thrilled to be represented by Gray Talent, and is excited for future opportunities in the commercial, acting, and voiceover world.
