Marissa hails from New York and is grateful to be a part of the Chicago theatre community. She is an MFA acting graduate from the Professionals Actors Training Program at the University of Washington in Seattle. She moved to Chicago shortly after graduating she booked her first job on the Goodman Stage. She has since been a part of staged readings and performances at The Denver Center Theatre Company, Steppenwolf Theatre, Court Theatre and the Goodman Theatre.
In 2011, she wrote and staged "Yellow Dress: a solo show" which has premiered both in LA and New York within the fringe festival scene. The show has received critical acclaim, and in the fall "Yellow Dress" will be presented at Silk Road Rising as a part of their Solo Series.
