Mark Ulrich
Mark relocated to the Chicago area with a BFA degree in Acting from a nearby University. Anticipating a short stay, and in search of he knew not what, all attempts to escape have been thwarted. While here he has cobbled together a career as an actor and a director, appearing at THE GOODMAN, NORTHLIGHT, WRITER’S THEATRE, and ARTISTIC HOME, to name a few. Regional work includes appearances at CITY THEATRE OF PITTSBURGH, NEXT ACT THEATRE OF MILWAUKEE, FORWARD THEATRE OF MADISON, PALM BEACH DRAMA WORKS, and FLORIDA STAGE.
He is the recipient of several honors for acting, including an After Dark Award, and a Joseph Jefferson Award. In addition, his direction of Mary’s Wedding garnered three Jeff nominations, while winning two of them.
A five year member of RIVENDELL THEATRE ENSEMBLE, a women’s theatre that makes allowances for his chromosomal makeup, he is slated to appear with them in their upcoming FALLING AWAKE.
When not performing, he enjoys running, though not for reasons of a healthy lifestyle so much as he is almost certain that there is some malevolent force in hot pursuit.
