Maryam Abdi is an actor new to Chicago. She hails from Seattle, but has toured around as a theatre artist throughout her life. Her most recent project abroad was as a Fulbright Scholar in Cameroon, Africa, where Maryam practiced and researched Theatre for Development for a year. Maryam has worked with theatres in Paris, Avignon, and Tehran, Iran. She trained at the University of Evansville and received a BFA in Theatre Performance, as well as a BA in French. Outside of performing, Maryam enjoys teaching Yoga, working with children, and spending time with loved ones.
