Matthew James Elam hails from Los Angeles California where he began his acting pursuits at just 6 years of age. Originally the shy kid who would barely talk unless he had to, the performing arts offered him a voice and a chance to become the person he couldn't imagine he could be. His family enrolled him into the Amazing Grace Conservatory for Performing Arts In South Central LA which allowed students to study singing, acting, and dance and thus was the spark of something that would soon become a lifelong journey. At 12 years old, Matthew received an NAACP Image Award Nomination for Best Supporting Actor in the production of his first professional play "Coming Home" by Athol Fugard. Finishing up his Senior year in BFA Acting at DePaul University's "The Theatre School" this year, Matthew is excited to finish his education and use it to promote his endeavors.
