Michael Hargrove

MICHAEL HARGROVE, honored with the Black Theatre Alliance's Sidney Poitier Award in 2002 as Best Leading Actor in a Play for his role in "Will He Bop, Will He Drop".

Michael has also appeared in productions of Red Dog Moon, The Orphan, Yuba City, The Trial, Servant of the People, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and Julius Caesar (as Mark Anthony).

He has guest-starred on TV series such as "Chicago Fire," "Chicago PD" and "Early Edition." His feature film work includes Candyman 2021 as Sherman Fields, "The Express," "An Abduction" and, notably, Tom Gustafson's LGBTQ fantasy, "Were the World Mine."
