A graduate of Howard University, LaQuis is a native Chicagoan. Since her initial work with the Hip Hop Theatre Junction (RHYME DEFERRED) she has performed in various productions including, REPAIRING A NATION (eta Theater), BLUES FOR AN ALABAMA SKY (double-understudy- Court Theatre) HOW WE GOT ON (understudy- Haven Theater) and NO BLUE MEMORIES (Manual Cinema).
Her television and commercial credits include CHICAGO FIRE ("I Walk Away"), Kellogg's "Finding Dory," Nissan Rogue for "Star Wars" and numerous industrials. Her work in independent films recently led to her producing her first short film, KAYLA'S LIGHT, about a young family in Chicago dealing with tragic loss.
LaQuis is truly grateful for her experiences so far and looks forward to being a part of even more dynamic productions in the years to come.
