Quinnita Bellows is a recent college graduate looking to break into the Chicago theater scene. While attending Grinnell College she took on lead roles in several productions. Her most pivotal roles were playing Ophelia in Hamlet and Eurydice in Polaroid Stories. She also enjoyed working on several performance art pieces one being her one-woman show on the life of controversial poet Amiri Baraka.
Quinnita also spent a summer abroad in Taipei to help develop and perform A Secret for a Secret inspired by the poetry of Hsia Yu at Taiwan’s National Experimental Theatre.
After college, Quinnita was thrilled to take an on camera acting class at the Acting Studio Chicago. After which she played a lead role in a short film "Downstream" directed by Depaul MFA student Darius Dawson.
She currently enjoys reading plays, traveling, creating new performance art, and creating art in all mediums. Quinnita is excited to kick into the Chicago theater scene and continue to pursue her dream of being a film actor.
