Raphael Diaz is an actor and writer from Chicago. As the son of Cuban immigrants growing up in the suburbs of the midwest show business seemed a million miles away, at sixteen he planned to go to USC to study film and break into show business. Luckily for him no west coast schools accepted him and he decided to go to film school at Columbia College Chicago. There he took an acting class on a whim that changed his life. After that he decided to drop out of film school and break into the Chicago theatre scene and like so many great actors before him.
Television Credits include NBC’s Chicago Fire. Recent theatre credits include, Mansfield Park (Northlight Theatre), Rock’N’Roll (The Artistic Home), and The Harvest (Griffin Theatre). He can next be seen in First Floor Theatre’s world premire of Juniors by Noah Diaz.
