Sam Krey is an actor and performer based primarily out of Chicago, and he is a proud BFA graduate of The Theatre School at DePaul. He grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota where he spent 10 years training and performing with Circus Juventas. Sam was involved in 9 of their original annual summer shows, including being cast in three leading roles. Some of his other recent stage credits include playing Captain Hook inPeter Pan and Wendy, Joe in The Children’s Hour, and Ted in God’s Ear. Sam is also proud to hold the rank of Advanced Actor Combatant with the SAFD. Growing up with “saw-dust in his veins”, Sam has developed a particular love and an acute skill for his work in re-imaging the spectacular. The classical conservatory training he received combined with his acrobatic and stunt background has enabled him to bring such shows as Metamorphosis, The Phantom Tollbooth, and Peter Pan and Wendy to life in new and meaningful ways. When Sam is not onstage you can find him playing his guitar, snowboarding on the nearest mountain, or wakeboarding on the nearest lake.
