10 year old Chicago native, Sean Zielinski, has performed in roles from Dumas to Disney. He was thrilled to be given the opportunity to perform in the Lyric Opera of Chicago's production of Die Zauberflöte, directed by Neil Armfield, earlier this year in a supernumerary role as the Young Stage Manager & Lion. Other favorite roles include: Timon in The Lion King Jr., Threppence (C3PO) in the Shakespearean Star Wars-inspired play, Skywalker Cycle, Sir Bedevere/Father in Monty Python and the Holy Grail (theatre hike), and Grover in Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief.
Sean is currently studying with The Second City (improv), Dir. Scott Calcagno (acting coach), & Orion Couling of EDGE Youth Theater (stage combat & theater). He recently studied with Stacey Smith of Improv Olympic & The Second City (comedy, acting), Eileen Hand of Thin Ice Ensemble Theater (musicals), Facets Film Academy (film history & filmmaking), and performed in the Chicago Children’s Choir - dir. Daniel Wallenberg. Sean has started learning dance at the Hubbard Street Dance Youth Program.
His most recent role is the young gamer, Dillon, in the Minecraft-inspired play, The Craft. Previous roles include the Rabbi in Fiddler on the Roof Jr., the Grasshopper in James & the Giant Peach Jr., Planchet in La Mousquetaire, Oz in The Wizard of Oz, Davy in The Lottery, Aslan in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and Dwarf Gloin in The Hobbit, among others.
Sean is fluent in speaking Spanish and studies piano & percussion. In his free time, he enjoys filmmaking, script writing, and gaming - combining his interests by creating episodic adventures for Youtube, set in his gaming worlds. Biking, swimming, and dancing keep him active and he has fun with his family regularly attending musicals and Shakespeare plays. He is represented by Gray Talent Group. Sean dreams to land a role in the touring cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and looks forward to the day he can work in an action comedy film like Guardians of the Galaxy!
