11 year old Chicago native, Sean Zielinski, has performed in roles from Dumas to Disney. He is thrilled to be given the opportunity to play the role of Nathan in Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre’s production of THE FULL MONTY (Dec 2018 - Jan 2019). One of his latest highlights was to work on the Iron & Wine music video, Bitter Truth as well as being able to perform in the Lyric Opera of Chicago's production of Die Zauberflöte, directed by Neil Armfield. Other favorite roles include: Timon in The Lion King Jr. and Grover in Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief.
Sean is currently studying Acting with Dir. Scott Calcagno (acting coach), Voice with Matthew Ellenwood, and Improv at The Second City. He is also studying Stage Combat with Orion Couling (EDGE of Orion Theatre), Tap Dance with Jumaane Taylor & Jazz Dance with John Cartwright, both at Hubbard Street Dance. Additionally, Sean attends workshops, classes, & camps at Acting Studio Chicago, Actors Training Center, and Roberta Duchak Vocal Studio.
His latest projects include Steep Theatre’s production of ZÜRICH (Boy u/s). Previous roles include Sir Bedevere/Father in Monty Python and the Holy Grail (theatre hike), the Rabbi in Fiddler on the Roof Jr., the Grasshopper in James & the Giant Peach Jr., Planchet in La Mousquetaire, Oz in The Wizard of Oz, Davy in The Lottery, Aslan in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and Dwarf Gloin in The Hobbit, among others.
Sean is fluent in speaking Spanish and studies piano & percussion. In his free time, he enjoys filmmaking, script writing, and gaming — combining his interests by creating episodic adventures for Youtube, set in his gaming worlds. Swimming, dancing, & biking keep him active and he has fun with his family regularly attending musicals, plays, and rock concerts. Sean dreams to land a future role in the touring cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and looks forward to the day he can work in an action comedy film like Guardians of the Galaxy!
