Shariba Rivers

Shariba Rivers is a Chicago-based actor with experience on stage, on film and in the recording booth. She fondly refers to the stage as her second home and can usually be found working with a theater company at any point of the year. Some of her most recent work has been with Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, Raven Theatre, and 16 th Street Theater. Film credits include Empire, where she played Mrs. Givens, mother of Kai Givens, Jamal’s husband; The Chi; Chicago Med, and Chicago PD. Additionally, she has been in a number of short films and an independent feature length film that have made the festival circuits and garnered awards. She is the voice of one of the main characters in the very popular new audio drama Unwell: A Midwestern Gothic Mystery for which she recently won an Audio Verse award for “best performance of a leading role in a new audio play production.”
