Vincent aims to be the real-life music man of Gary, Indiana, behind the late King of Pop. He realized he had a future in entertainment after performing a comedic skit in the fourth grade which his classmates would relish for years to come! He began writing rhymes in elementary school as well. On entering the sixth grade, Vincent auditioned for enrollment at Emerson School for the Visual and Performing Arts in which he was accepted as a drama major. While at this school, Vincent joined the rap group, "Dynam!c" and began cutting tracks in a local recording studio.
In high school, Vincent made his debut on the Chicago standup comedy scene at the age of fifteen. He fondly remembers sneaking into the comedy clubs and rubbing shoulders with his Chicago comedy idols like Deon Cole and Lil Rel. He also served as president of Emerson's International Thespian Society troupe. During the last quarter of his senior year, he released his first solo song, "Twerk Team", which he describes as comedy-rap. He released the Twerk Team music video the day after graduation, and its popularity preceded him upon him in college.
Five years later, Vincent Banks is on track to receive a BFA Acting degree from The Theatre School at DePaul University. Over the course of his college career, he has dabbled in drag performance, released a solo music album, and written screenplays. Spirituality has become an integral facet of his life as well. Vincent is eager to graduate undergrad in the spring of 2018 because, after being in a conservatory for so long, he is ready to break the levees and take the entertainment world by storm!
