Zuri Gilbert

Zuri has a dynamic personality and intrinsic passion for performance on stage, on-screen or just around the house. Her diverse performances have demonstrated a natural versatility; ranging from dark, quiet and introverted roles to loud, flamboyant and outspoken roles. She takes direction well and has a natural knack for memorization, consistency and is overall very much at home on set and backstage. As an 11-year old, she understands and respects her responsibility as an actor and prepares with diligence and enthusiasm. She just loves it.

Zuri has experience with a variety of roles ranging from dramatic/ non-verbal to comedic/ outgoing, from stage to screen. In 2017, Zuri was cast as the lead in an independent short film “Trinity” which included a combination of extensive non-verbal scenes and advanced dialogue. Her first on-screen appearance in 2015 was a dramatic role in a corporate promotional video for CareerBuilder. She has since been cast in several television, short films, commercials as a lead, supporting actor, featured extra or background extra. She was most recently cast in a supporting role for a web series and as a background extra for Chicago PD.

Zuri has been attending classes and workshops through the Windy City Music Theater in Chicago since age 7. In addition to the camps and workshops, Zuri has performed in 6 stage performances over the past 4 years through the Windy City Music Theater. She plans to train with Sara Sevigny, a Chicago Actor who has worked professionally in Los Angeles and Chicago for over 20 years.
