Some actors are born, others seek the limelight all their lives. In my case, acting found me. Sure, I did a few school plays growing up in River Forest, but didn’t seek it seriously. It wasn’t until someone from a local theater company asked me to audition while I was doing community volunteer work that I jumped in professionally. Since then I’ve done my fair share of children’s theater, educational productions, industrial films, plays and some film work. I’ve been honored to understudy for Steppenwolf Theatre Company and Silk Road Theatre Project, workshop new plays for Victory Gardens and even fight onstage at Lyric Opera Chicago, combining my interest in martial arts with performance. It’s never easy, and I try to take things one day at a time, approaching my work with optimism and professionalism.
