Jackson Challinor is a major find. He gives a nuanced, relaxed performance, capturing all the mannerisms of a contemporary teen but making his role a character of substance and originality at the same time.  – John Olson (Talkin' Broadway)

A native to the Chicago suburbs, Jackson started acting at the age of nine when he began performing at the Music Institute of Chicago. It was there that he developed an interest in acting by being a part of countless musical theatre productions. After several years of vocal coaching by Ben LeClair he was given the opportunity to play Miles in the opera: Turn of the Screw at Roosevelt University. During rehearsals he became truly drawn to acting and began to search actively for auditions anywhere he could find.

Jackson was soon cast as Haroun in Haroun and the Sea of Stories at Halcyon Theatre, followed shortly by Let the Circle Be Unbroken at Apple Tree Theatre. After a commercial for Carrabbas Italian Grill he was lucky enough to play a major role in two smash hits: A Very Merry Unauthorized Children's Scientology Pageant at A Red Orchid Theatre and Graceland at Profiles Theatre. Jackson’s portrait of the teenager Miles in Graceland earned him praise from critics across Chicago, though he tries to take everything with a grain of salt.
