Bassam is a versatile, multitalented artist whose presence exudes gravitas and a calm intensity, and whose personality is charming and humorous. In addition to being a talented actor, his repertoire of skills includes the ability to perform many impersonations and accents, as well as singing, playing the guitar and the tabla (middle eastern drum similar to bongos) and being a skilled martial artist. His ethnically ambiguous look allows him to fit into many different roles, and he is fluent in the Arabic language and can also speak Spanish. He possesses a strong work ethic and strives for excellence in everything he does.
Bassam has appeared in Showtime's The Chi and Amazon's Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams, as well as various independent feature films. He has worked in the Chicago theatre scene with Broadway Playhouse, TimeLine Theatre, Steep Theatre, Chicago Sinfonietta, Silk Road Rising, Remy Bumppo Theatre, Broken Nose Theatre, and Stage Left Theatre.
