Mariam Sobh

Mariam Sobh is a Chicago based actor, comedian and digital content creator. She’s also an award winning journalist. Mariam wrote and starred in “Headscarf Above Water” a multi dimensional one woman show she wrote, that sold out its debut shows at Judy’s Beat Lounge at The Second City.
Other places Mariam has performed include: Burbank Comedy Festival, NBC Second City Breakout Festival, Detroit Women’s Comedy Festival, Chicago Sketchfest, Under the Gun, Toasted, and Mainstage Mic at The Comedy Clubhouse.
She also starred in the award winning short film “The Outcast” which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival. When she’s not freelancing for various news outlets, Mariam writes and hosts the podcast “News with a Bite”.
