Matthew James Elam
Matthew James Elam hails from Los Angeles, California where he began his acting pursuits at just 6 years of age. Originally the shy kid who would barely talk unless he had to, the performing arts offered him a voice and a chance to become the person he always dreamed of being. His family enrolled him into the Amazing Grace Conservatory for Performing Arts In South LA which allowed him to study singing, acting, and dance and thus was the spark of something that would soon become a lifelong journey. Matthew has traveled far and wide on an active pursuit of his dream. Graduating with his BFA at DePaul’s “The Theatre School” as an acting major, he continues to use his gifts of acting, singing, and writing as fuel for his ambitions on making a positive impact with his life.
Matthew is best known for his series regular role on season four of FX's Fargo starring opposite Chris Rock. He also recurs in the AMC hit series 61st Street and had a supporting role in the Sopranos prequel film, The Many Saints of Newark.
