Matthew was born and raised on the south side of Chicago and has been performing theatrically since the age of twelve. Cutting his teeth in musical theatre Matthew then moved on to professional work in college. Starting out with print advertisements and local commercials Matthew continued to hone his skills while performing improv both in Chicago and in Sherman Oaks, CA. After returning to Chicago Matthew began working with Gray Talent Group in 2013.
Matthew’s television credits include multiple co-starring roles on such series as Chicago PD, Chicago Med, Sirens, Play by Play, and an upcoming episode of the Amazon series Utopia. He became a SAG-AFTRA member in 2015 while shooting his first of a variety of national commercial campaigns. Matthew can be seen in advertisements for pharmaceutical products Opdivo and Humira, as well as commercials for Chrysler, Hardees, Northwestern Hospital, Lowes, Sears and Intel Inside.
Matthew’s first film credit was the independent horror flick After Effect. He followed that up with roles in the independently shot short film White Flag, as well as the feature film Market Value. He also had a role in the sci-fi picture Captive State. Matthew’s most recent project is a short film he wrote, produced and starred in called Falling From Arms, which is currently making its way through the festival circuit. Matthew is currently a professional in the field of law enforcement and has multiple bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Business.
