Adrienne Walker, originally from Jonesboro, Georgia is a vocalist and actor based in New York, NY. Adrienne relocated to New York in 2016 to star as Nala in Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway. Prior to her current gig, Adrienne toured the country as the lead vocalist in Dirty Dancing: The Classic Story on Stage. Adrienne’s previous Chicago credits include: Sondheim on Sondheim (Porchlight); HAIR, Rent (Paramount Theatre); Dreamgirls (Marriott Theatre); Porgy and Bess, Iphigenia in Aulis, Agamemnon (Court Theatre) and The Color Purple (Mercury Theatre) where she has received a Jeff nomination for her performance as Shug Avery. Adrienne has been featured in a number of commercials; most recently in the McDonald’s Pay With Lovin’ campaign. Check her out on Youtube as the voice of Peanut on the LGBTQ animated series McTucky Fried High. In spring of 2019 Adrienne will portray the role of Hattie in Roundabout Theatre’s Broadway revival of the Cole Porter Classic Kiss Me Kate. Adrienne is a proud graduate of Spelman College.

I’ve also spent the better part of the fall applying for student film projects. I’ll keep you posted on my progress with that. It seems to be the only way to acquire a video reel. More film and voiceover opportunities is the goal for 2019!
