Dennis William Grimes

Dennis William Grimes is proud to be a member of SAG/AFTRA and Actor’s Equity Association, as well as an Associate Artist at TimeLine Theatre Company. Growing up around Chicago he considers it an immense privilege to be a member of Chicago’s rich theatre community, having performed in 30 Equity and Non-Equity productions since 2003. Dennis, has been twice nominated for a Non-Equity Wing Jeff Award in the category of Actor in a Supporting Role, firstly in Stage Left's production of Rabbit and then in Eclipse Theatre Co.’s production of Lips Together Teeth Apart. Regionally he has worked at Riverside Theatre, Indianapolis Repertory Theatre, Lakeside Shakespeare Festival, the Oak Park Festival Theatre, and the Illinois Shakespeare Festival.

His film Black Box is distributed through Devolver Digital Films on Amazon, VUDU, and cable On Demand. TV credits include: Chicago Fire and Chicago PD (NBC); Empire (FOX); Detroit 187 and Betrayal (ABC); and The Girlfriend Experience (STARZ)

He is a graduate of Illinois State University, has studied with acclaimed director Anne Bogart and the SITI co., as well as the world renowned Moscow Art and Academic Theatre (MXAT).
