Ian Paul Custer

Ian Paul Custer is a proud member of SAG/AFTRA and AEA. In Chicago, he has had
the great privilege of working with Steppenwolf Theatre, Goodman Theatre, TimeLine, A Red Orchid, Marriott Theatre Lincolnshire, and Court Theatre.

Ian is an Ensemble Member at American Blues Theatre, where he has worked on over seven productions garnered with regional acclaim. Recently, he portrayed Hi-Pockets Duncan in Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, which was awarded the 2018 Jeff Award for Best Ensemble and Best Production of a Musical – Midsize. Regionally, he has worked with Asolo Repertory, Notre Dame Shakespeare, and 360 Entertainment from London.

Television credits include FOX’s EMPIRE and APB, as well as Guest Star appearances on NBC’s CHICAGO FIRE and CHICAGO PD. He received his BFA in Acting from the Theatre School at DePaul University. Ian is also a musician (piano, guitar, saxophone), a personal trainer, and a writer. He likes to play chess. And he loves Chicago sports.
