Sarah is an actor and dancer based in Chicago. Originally from the SF Bay Area, she graduated from the University of Chicago with double majors in Chinese History and Theater and Performance Studies after performing in Court Theatre’s M. Butterfly as an undergraduate, an experience that ignited her love of live theater. After working as a strategy analyst in advertising, Sarah pivoted to performance and joined the Gray Talent family. Most recently, she appeared on Utopia (Amazon Studios), Chicago Med (NBC), The Thing About Harry (Freeform Feature Film), and Empire (FOX), with upcoming appearances on Station Eleven (HBOMax), Christmas Again (Disney Channel Original Movie), The Chair (Netflix), and Jordan Peele’s Candyman (Monkeypaw Productions). She has also performed onstage all across the Chicagoland area, including the aforementioned Court Theatre, the Second City e.t.c. stage (41st Revue), Drury Lane Theatre (South Pacific), Griffin Theatre (Mlima’s Tale), Wildclaw Theatre (Second Skin), and PivotArts (Don’t Look Back/Must Look Back), in addition to work with Victory Gardens Theater, Sideshow Theatre Company, Silk Road Rising, and The Passage Theatre.
A life-long lover of Chinese culture, Sarah has studied and performed Chinese Folk Dance and Chinese Opera, and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese. She graduated from the School at Steppenwolf’s conservatory program in 2018, and has trained extensively at Black Box Acting Studio, Acting Studio Chicago, and the Second City.
Sarah is an avid consumer of sci-fi and fantasy fiction, and in her spare time likes to attend dance classes, choreograph, write, sing, and play Dungeons and Dragons. She is thrilled to be working with the amazing team at Gray Talent.
