Maya Jacobson

Maya is an actor and singer based in Brooklyn. Most recently, she originated the role of Myra Nadell in the regional premiere of A Walk on the Moon, at George Street Playhouse, directed by Tony-nominated Sheryl Kaller, starring Jackie Burns and Jonah Platt. Prior to that, she performed off-Broadway in Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish, directed by Joel Grey. This fall, Maya will play Chava in the award-winning production of Fiddler on the Roof directed by Barrie Kosky at The Chicago Lyric Opera. TV credits include Mordeo for Crypt TV and My Life As A Doormat (Pilot). Maya is also a member of a Yiddish trio called "The Mamales" (featured in Kveller and The Forward) that performs around NYC and the tri-state area, and was a National Finalist in the Michael Feinstein Great American Songbook Competition in 2013. She is a proud graduate of The Boston Conservatory.
